OPEN CALL: 7 October-2 December 2019
The Horizon 2020 MSCA joint doctoral project TubInTrain (“Tuning Tubulin Dynamics and Interactions to Face Neurotoxicity: a Multidisciplinary Approach for Training and Research”), is run by a Consortium of Universities in cooperation with Industries, with the aim to offer an innovative PhD level training in Chemistry and Biology of Neurodegeneration to 13 Early Stage Researchers (ESR). ESRs will be enrolled for their PhD in academic year 2019/2020, starting their activity not later than 1 March 2020. The course will conclude in academic year 2021/2022.
PARTNER UNIVERSITIES: University of Milan (Chemistry, Biosciences and Pharmaceutical Sciences Departments), Italy - Coordinating University; University of Strasbourg (Chemie de la Matière Complexe department ), France; University of Paris-Sud (BiOCIS, UMR CNRS 8076), France (Ph.D. title issued by University Paris-Saclay); Paul Sherrer Institut (Biology and Chemistry Department), Switzerland (Ph.D. title issued by University of Basel); Centro de Investigaciones Biologicas (Chemical and Physical Biology Department), Spain (Ph.D. title issued by Universidad Internacional Menéndez Pelayo); University of Barcelona (Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biomedicine), Spain; University of Osnabrueck (Neurobiology Department), Germany.
INDUSTRIAL PARTNERS: Flamma SPA, Italy; Ionovation, Germany; Biorep SRL, Italy; Indena SPA, Italy; Biomax Informatics AG, Germany; Bionext, Netherlands; LeadXpro AG, Switzerland; Lifeglimmer GMBH, Germany; Ospedale San Raffaele, Italy; AnkarPharma, Spain.
The TubInTrain PhD programme aims to define a new joint PhD educational model in Chemistry and Biology of Neurodegeneration. An active contribution of Industry in training activities is a relevant feature of the programme. The scientific approach proposed by the TubInTrain consortium is strongly multidisciplinary and will involve a number of different state-of-the-art technologies and methodologies.
Basing on the TubInTrain research programme, applicants are requested to choose among 13 different and multidisciplinary projects strongly related to each other. Different state-of-the-art technologies and methodologies relevant to the project are: Computational chemistry; Chemoinformatics; Chemical synthesis; Bioanalytics and biophysics; Biochemistry; Structural Biology; In vitro biological evaluation; Molecular imaging; Metabolomics.
Details concerning the project, secondments of each ESR, eligibility and job conditions are specified in the Call and can be found on the website www.tubintrain.eu
Applications must be submitted by December 2nd, 2019 at 23:00 central European time (http://www.timeanddate.com/time/zones/cet)
