We are recruiting a Life Sciences Project Manager (m/f/d) to be responsible for the implementation of two recently awarded H2020 projects, where the CCRI is a key participant. The projects follow a long and established legacy in paediatric oncology, and both aim at continuing to advance patients’ and survivors’ access to better healthcare across Europe. One of the projects in particular is closely linked to the European Reference Network on Paediatric Cancer (ERN-PaedCan), which is coordinated by the CCRI, and aims to create a platform that integrates all ERN’s research and innovation capacity through knowledge sharing, engagement with stakeholders in the rare disease domain and assembly of transdisciplinary research groups working across the global health spectrum.
The CCRI is involved in many research projects and since some are interconnected, the recruited Project Manager eventually might need to engage in additional tasks beyond the H2020 projects.
The recruited Project Manager is expected to work closely with the head of the Clinical Trial Unit for Studies & Statistics for Integrated Research & Projects (S2IRP), the head of the Research Management Office (RMO), and the manager of the ERN-PaedCan, to whom s/he should report on a regular basis.
The St. Anna Children’s Cancer Research Institute (CCRI), located in the center of Vienna, the world’s most livable city and one of Europe’s most important places for biomedical research and life sciences, is an international and multidisciplinary competence center striving to improve treatment of children and adolescents with cancer by connecting translational and clinical research with open-minded exploration of basic disease mechanisms. Through close cooperation between clinic and research, the CCRI provides an ideal environment for cutting-edge research and its translation into clinical practice. To achieve our ultimate goal of advancing the well-being of patients, the CCRI constantly pushes scientific boundaries and strongly promotes close collaboration and exchange with external institutions like the Medical University of Vienna, CeMM Research Center for Molecular Medicine of the Austrian Academy of Sciences, the Institute of Molecular Biotechnology of the Austrian Academy of Sciences (IMBA) and the Institute of Molecular Pathology (IMP).
The CCRI is an equal opportunity employer. We value diversity and are committed to providing a work environment of mutual respect to everyone without regard to ethnicity, religion, national origin, age, gender identity or expression, disability, or any other characteristic protected by applicable laws, regulations and ordinances.
We are looking forward to your application! Applications should at least contain your Curriculum Vitae and a cover letter.Continue reading
